Another rainy Wednesday

When wednesday came around again, it did what it's been doing for the last month or so....Rain! So after much thinking (cough) we thought we'd go on a walk instead. logic: we would have got moist climbing (still raining), so why not get completely soaked on a walk?? And so we rounded up as many as were sane enough to come/ not going off to see some bird, n headed off for a river.

Half an hour to walk down to the van, from Higgar Tor might not seem that hard, but thats on paths. We followed nature's paths!!

Anyway, it was a really quick way to make holes in leather boots! Maybe we'll leave it for the intro weekend another time..

derwent watershed

i know we haven't posted for a while we have been up to stuff just nothing worth blogging about!! but heres some pictures from our attempt at the derwent watershed, also known as the high peak marathon. although we did not complete the walk a great time was had by all we managed to walk about 22/23 miles and escaped at reapes farm. hopefully we will be back to try again and hopefully complete the full distance but for the time being here are a few pictures!

one cold january friday night we were very very bored chilling at the climbing works when we decided that we would go camping on kinder scout these ideas faded into a nice evening in robin hoods cave on stanage with emma.c slasha bob batley louis taylor jo jo and me here are a few pictures from our adventures.

this year me phil and ruby spent new year in scotland with hertfordshire scouts we got up to lots of walking including a one night expedition and summited a few munros

we went to some random viaduct quite famous (just can't remember what its called) for abseiling and we abseiled off it basicaly it was quite fun especially watching laura the tard getting piss wet though because she let go of the frikin rope! and watchin miles let lacey go into the river. unfortunately it was hard to take photo's from a distance in the dark but here are a few i managed to take.

Duke of Edinburgh's silver practice expedition 2006

just some photos from september when me, Phil, Laura and Richard went out in the eastern peak for a practice silver expedition pretty fun apart from the midge infestation at north lees and upper booth but nothing "avon so soft skin" couldn't fix.
